Here at Advanced Health and Chiropractic in Mooresville, we help patients with various conditions. Dr. Ryan Robinson has been working in the field since 2000, working with patients to help them recover naturally from neck pain, back pain, and issues like
carpal tunnel syndrome or CTS. Carpal tunnel is a problem we often see in
personal injury patients, especially those with jobs that require repetitive motions involving the arm, wrist, and shoulders. Patients can experience pain, numbing and tingling if they are experiencing CTS.
Our Chiropractor Finds Pain Management Solutions for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Carpal tunnel syndrome is generally caused by problems in the median nerve, the main nerve that controls your thumb, index finger, and some parts of the middle and ring finger. This nerve goes all the way from the fingertips to the spinal cord. The carpal tunnel itself is made of the wrist bones. The median nerve passes through the carpal tunnel. Another possible reason for carpal tunnel is damage to a bone or bones that make up the carpal tunnel. Carpal tunnel can even result when there is spinal cord damage since the median nerve is directly connected to some spinal vertebrae.
Our chiropractor, Dr. Robinson, helps free carpal tunnel patients from pain with chiropractic adjustments. If the spinal column is misaligned, particularly the vertebrae in the lower neck, this can cause much of the pain and numbness that carpal tunnel patients suffer from. Therapeutic exercises can also help increase flexibility and improve range of motion.
If you have suffered from CTS in the past, or if you are having trouble with it now, our chiropractor and staff would love to help. Do you have any carpal tunnel questions?
