Pain comes in many forms, from the physical, such as back pain, to emotional and mental. Although the holiday season brings the idea of toys and gifts to mind for many people, there are plenty of children whose parents cannot afford to give them toys as a holiday present, which leads to emotional pain and duress.
The Toys for Tots program was started in 1947 by the US Marine Corps Reserve to give presents to children who would otherwise go without. Advanced Health and Chiropractic in Mooresville, NC is a Toys for Tots drop off location this year. If you visit our Mooresville chiropractor before December 15, 2011, be sure to bring a toy to donate to this great cause.
Toys for Tots at Advanced Health and Chiropractic
At our clinic, our chiropractors believe in promoting the overall health and wellness of our patients. Whether you suffer from back pain, neck pain, headaches or another condition, we use chiropractic care, massage therapy and nutritional counseling to help you live the healthiest and best life possible. The Toys for Tots program encourages young children who are otherwise disadvantaged to have hope during the holiday season. Toys received by these children during the holidays promote their overall wellness by showing them that someone cares.
How to Donate
If you would like to donate a toy this holiday season, please bring a new, unwrapped toy to our office by December 15. You do not need to have an appointment to drop off a toy. The toy should be unused and in its original packaging. Any toy is acceptable, whether it is for a very young child or an older child. After December 15, the toys will be collected by a Toys for Tots coordinator and distributed to the children who need them most.
